Privacy Policy for Linked Slides

Linked Slides ("the Add-on") is a Google Slides™ Editor Add-on provided by Green Duck Punch LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and handle your information when you use our Add-on. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
1. Information We Access and Collect
The Linked Slides Add-on is designed to operate with minimal data collection to perform its core functions.
Information accessed by the Add-on directly:
Google Slides Presentation IDs and Names: The Add-on reads the IDs and names of presentations selected by the user to identify and display linked slides.
Google Slides Properties: The Add-on accesses specific properties of slides that specify source slides for linked copies.
Your Google™ User Email Address: We access your email address provided by Google.
Information we may log on our servers:
Presentation IDs: IDs of presentations processed by the Add-on might be logged.
Your Google User Email Address: Your email address might be logged.
This logging is done solely to enable customer support and diagnose technical issues. It helps us understand how the Add-on is being used and troubleshoot problems. This data is not used for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose without your permission.
Future Data Access: In the future, if the Add-on provides functionality to update linked slides, it might require accessing the full contents of the slides. Should this functionality be introduced, we will update this Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
To Provide Add-on Functionality: The accessed presentation data is used in real-time within your Google Workspace environment to perform the Add-on's core function of identifying linked slides.
License Verification: Your email address is used to verify your subscription status with our merchant of record and/or license management service providers.
Customer Support and Troubleshooting: Logged Presentation IDs and email addresses help us provide effective customer support and troubleshoot any issues you may encounter with the Add-on.
Service-related announcements: Your email address is used to send you important service-related announcements, including updates to this Privacy Policy or our Terms and Conditions.
Product updates and marketing emails (Opt-in): If you opt in to receiving product updates or marketing emails, we may use your email address for that purpose.
3. Data Storage and Retention
Google Apps Script Logs: Google automatically deletes Apps Script logs after a fixed period, typically no more than 30 days. We do not have the ability to manually delete these logs before Google's automated process.
Our Servers (for support logs): Any logs on our servers containing Presentation IDs or email addresses are retained for up to 30 days for support purposes and are then automatically deleted.
No Permanent Storage of Content: The Add-on does not permanently store any of your Google Slides content (e.g., actual slide text, images, or presentation content) on our servers. All processing of slide content is temporary and occurs within the Google environment.
Your Google User Email Address: We retain your email until you cancel your subscription so we can send you important service-related announcements, including updates to this Privacy Policy or our Terms and Conditions.
4. Third-Party Services
Google: The Add-on extensively interacts with Google services to perform its core functions. Your use of the Add-on is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Paddle (Merchant of Record): Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle collects personal information such as your email address and payment details to process your transactions. Your interaction with Paddle and any data you provide to them are subject to Paddle's separate privacy policy and terms, which you will be prompted to agree to at the time of purchase. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
RevenueCat (License Management): We may use RevenueCat for license management services. RevenueCat will have access to your email address and subscription status but is only permitted to use them to provide license management services to us.
We do not share any data collected by our Add-on with other third parties for marketing, advertising, or any other purposes, except as required by law or to ensure the proper functioning of the Add-on (e.g., with Google, Paddle, and RevenueCat for their respective services).
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect and process from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Access Your Data: Request access to any personal data we hold about you.
Request Deletion: Request the deletion of your personal data.
To exercise these rights, please send an email to support@greenduckpunch.com. Please note that while we will endeavor to fulfill your request, Google automatically deletes Apps Script logs after a fixed time (no more than 30 days), and we do not have the ability to delete these logs manually before Google's automated process. Information retained by Paddle or RevenueCat is subject to their respective privacy policies.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
